A new Rasmussen telephone survey released on Sunday, August 30, 2009 reveals that “57% (of respondents) would vote to replace the entire Congress and start all over again.”
The Big 3 News Round Table panelists discuss these results and what it says about the mood of the country in the “Age of Obama.”
“I can’t say that I’m at all surprised,” Jennie from Idaho responded. “With an uneasiness in our country, people are looking and scrambling for anything they can do to hopefully find some effective change in the country.”
In spite of the recent election of a new president and the promise of change, Americans are more dissatisfied than ever.
“We still have some hope, and we definitely got some change, but they completely changed the structure of the economy, they destroyed a lot of civil liberties,” noted Justin Liberty. “We definitely got some change, I just don’t think it’s the type of change that anyone voted for.”
