Will the world end on December 21, 2012?

The end of the world is near, or is it?

Woven throughout the cultures of the world is the shared believe that at some point in the future, the world will end.

These doomsday theories have their roots in religious texts and teachings. From Christianity’s teach that Jesus Christ will descend from the heavens at the  Second Coming, to the return of the Muslim’s messianic figure known as Mahdi, believers and non-believers are taught to prepare for or fear the apocalyptic future.

But according to an October 11, 2009 Associated Press report, the Mayans are fed up with attribution to their calendar of doomsday theories and the world ending on December 21, 2012.

Big 3 News discussed this report with Soulreactivator, a caller from Wisconsin.
