iWatch: a community awareness program created to educate the public about behaviors and activities that may have a connection to terrorism.

At their annual Major Cities Chiefs Association (MCCA) on October 3, law enforcement officials unveiled a 21-century tool to fight terrorism.

According to a report on Century City News, “iWatch is designed to enable members of the public to help protect their communities by identifying and reporting suspicious behaviors that have been known to be used by terrorists.”

Some of the indicators the public is advised to watch for include:

If you smell chemicals or other fumes.

If you see someone wearing clothes that are too big and too heavy for the season.

If you see strangers asking about building security.

If you see someone purchasing supplies or equipment that could be used to make bombs.

Big 3 News discussed this community program with Justin Liberty on a recent segment.

“The other thing that this inevitably leads to, if this is the public doing this, you don’t have people that have taken an oath to the constitution,” Justin stated. “They could very well use this for personal gain as they see fit.”

Justin said this could create a slipper slope, leading to a nation of spies.
