The historic War Memorial Auditorium, located in Nashville, Tennessee, was the scene for performances on Aug. 17, 2011 by the American rock group Evanescence, the Canadian rock band Art of Dying, and American alternative rock group Fools For Rowan.
Big 3 News Entertainment Contributor TrgdyAnn and her daughter were on hand to experience the 8 p.m. show on the crescent-shaped stage.
“I took my daughter to her first show and it did my heart good to see her having such a great time,” TrgdyAnn reported. “It may be the only thing she talks about for the next few days, but times like these are priceless and worth every second of future memories!”
The mother/daughter duo got backstage for exclusive pictures with Art of Dying, and interviewed Tavis, the guitar player, from the band.
“We’re about to play a show in about a half an hour, hanging out on the side,” Tavis said. “I love Nashville. I had some really great chicken wings earlier at a pub.”
Tavis said Art of Dying has an upcoming tour called “Uproar” in a few weeks all over America. From Nashville, they were headed north to Milwaukee, then on to Canada.
TrgdyAnn also spoke with Rachel from the band Fools For Rowan, a native of Nashville.

Thank You Jen, Rusty and everyone else that visits this post. The fun and joy that I felt to have been able to experience my daughter's first concert, did my heart good. I am so grateful to have been able to share this memorable moment with her. It's one of those priceless moments that you will not forget over time and she'll be able to tell her children and she'll be able to share the actual video footage with them too. We had loads of fun!
