Almost four and a half years after the city of New Orleans was devastated by a Category 5 hurricane, The Saints have helped restore confidence and pride to the region by capturing the Super Bowl XLIV championship against the Indianapolis Colts by a score of 31-17.
Meanwhile, over at YouTube, sports fans and Superbowl viewers have begun voting on their favorite commercials. Voting ends February 15, 2010.
“Advertisers are reportedly paying as much as $3 million for 30 seconds of your time in what promises to be an epic contest of brands, products and celebrity endorses,” the official blog of YouTube reported on Saturday.
The ad candidates are impressive: Doritos, Snickers, GoDaddy.com, Hyundai, and Dr. Pepper are among the 50 plus videos featurd on YouTube’s AdBlitz video wall.
“Come to the channel and watch and give each ad a thumbs up or down,” YouTube instructs those wanting to vote.
