Greener Ideas...with The Green Man anything is possible

Ethan, “The Green Man” was born and raised in a small, conservative Texas town outside of Austin. He has always had a great love and appreciation for the world around him. Even as a small child he enjoyed activities like recycling and making his local community a cleaner, better place.

While attending high school, the local school board threatened to put an end to all of the horticulture classes that were being offered. Feeling passionate about the need for diversity in course options, The Green Man organized a group of students to protest this action. In the end, the student coalition won and the classes were restored.

Today, The Green Man dedicates much of his time to spreading the message of green living. He wants others to know that there are alternate “greener” options for people to consider. Whether it be switching over to electric lawn tools to cut down on emissions or changing household light bulbs to more energy efficient compact florescent bulbs, he maintains it is the little things that we do that matter.

At 19 years old The Green Man has great things ahead of him. Soon, he will enroll in college, majoring in Political Science. It is his hope to combine his love of the earth with a deeper knowledge of politics so that he can be even more effective in spreading his message of “Greener Ideas.”
